ABSTRACT
The article reports on the challenges faced by Microsoft Corp. concerning software piracy around the world. Chief executive officer Steve Ballmer notes that the company would love to eliminate piracy, however, the more it do to eradicate piracy,the more inconvenient to make the use of the software for the legitimate user. It cites a study, conducted by Business Software Alliance (BSA0, which reveals that worldwide piracy rate has increased by 41% in 2008, up from 38% in 2007.
