The article highlights several developments during the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) 2009 Summer meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It mentions that there is a need for state-based insurance regulators will compromise with the federal initiatives that aims to oversee aspects of the insurance industry in the state. It relates that states also need to further promote their prominence over insurance regulations to attain financial reforms.
