ABSTRACT
The article discusses several solutions to problems associated with military communication. The range of the Vehicle Integrated Personal Role Radio (PRR) from Selex is approximately 500 metres. One of the companies that produce software-defined radios is Germany-based Rohde and Schwarz, manufacturer of the M3TR line of radios which operate in the 1.5 to 512 megahertz frequency range. The U.S. Joint Tactical Radio System, which is considered as the largest tactical radio programme in the world, is detailed.
