ABSTRACT
The article focuses on new skills needed by leaders of smart companies. Leaders are expected to master the core innovation process, which involve the creation of intellectual assets, converting these assets to intellectual property and then consequently monetizing the accumulated intellectual capital. The new sets of skills needed to be developed by chief executive officers (CEOs) of smart businesses.
