ABSTRACT
The article presents a power forecast made by Business Monitor International Ltd. for the third quarter of 2009 in the U.S. It notes the expectation for the primary energy demand to increase by 4.4% during the later part of the forecast compared with 8.1% in 2007-2012. It stresses the increase in the electricity generation by 7.9% which matches to 4.7% in the 2013-2018 period. The forecast on the rise of the thermal power generation by 8% between 2008 and 2018 is also mentioned.
