ABSTRACT
The article presents the views of several executives on consumer attitudes related to the sports and outdoor markets. Demetri Coupounas believes that the worst impact of recession is over and comments that consumers are interested in trips that are closer to homes. An executive suggested that retailers will have to keep a tight inventory for Fall and Holiday 2009 and executive James Ninziati hopes that summers will be beneficial for the outdoor sports category.
