ABSTRACT
The article discusses the problem of misalignment of web processing machines and their components. It has been stated that misalignment of rolls causes problems with tracking, web tension and product quality. It has been warned that occasional unplanned downtime can occur as a result of equipment failures and skewing of the web. It has been stated that with the use of optical equipment, namely theodolites, transits and lasers, machinery alignment can be carried out effectively. INSET: Executive summary.
