ABSTRACT
The article informs that publishing pricing forecasts was one of the issues that came up early in Hidde Smit's tenure as secretary-general of the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG). He was told not to publish price forecasts nor give advice to stakeholders in the organization. Smit says that running the IRSG requires the talents of a businessman, a politician and an employee. He said that its a demanding kind of job.
