Rest allowances and work-rest regimes

This article discusses the assumption that most business organizations operate a systematic process of assessment for rest, relaxation and recovery allowances. It aims to develop a consensus on rest and relaxation allowances that can be used by the generation of work measurement and productivity analysis. It identifies the factors involve in rest or relaxation allowances, including posture, motions, visual fatigue and energy output. It suggests a draft proposal for establishing best allowances and identifying appropriate rest breaks.
