ABSTRACT
The article looks at the efforts of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists to enhance medication safety in the U.S. The society published a list of recommendations for drug manufacturers and hospitals to prevent medical errors, in the December 2009 issue of the "American Journal of Health System Pharmacy." Such recommendations include the use of standard drug concentrations for high-alert drugs and the creation of multidisciplinary medical safety committee.
