The article discusses the growth of artists adopting knitting for the creation of artworks showcased at exhibitions in the U.S. It reveals that the versatility of the textiles used in knitting and their ability to be formed into sculptures have contributed to various artists utilizing the process for carrying out exhibitions, including "Ten Ugly Hats" by Debbie New, "My Father's Religion" which uses copper wire by Carolyn Halliday, and "Persistent Melody," by Janet Morton.
