ABSTRACT
The article reports that the European Commission's proposals to regulate alternative investment fund managers can possibly affect property funds. It states that Martin Currie's product development head Toby Hogbin has warned about the impact of the regulation to the property funds. It adds that Investment Management Association's Richard Saunders has said that the directive for fund managers goes beyond the regulation of hedge funds and private equity.
