ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's views on the impact of the retail distribution review (RDR) on the financial services industry in Great Britain. He states that the present RDR proposals have removed the ability of big distributor groups to benefit generating incomes based on commissions. The author believes that by excluding the wholesalers from earning commission incomes have suppressed the competition across wider markets.
