ABSTRACT
The article reports on the study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) that examined the implementation of the Small Business Disaster Response and Loan Improvements Act of 2008 by the Small Business Administration (SBA). GAO has found that SBA met 13 of 26 requirements of the Act as of June 2009. However, it recommends that there is a need for SBA to meet the Act's region-specific marketing and outreach requirements and complete its annual report to Congress.
