ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on how the federal government could leverage the Primary Care Access and Stabilization Grant (PCASG) to provide greater New Orleans, Lousiana residents affected by Hurricane Katrina access to primary care. Responses from the survey sent to all PCASG fund recipients were analyzed by GAO. They also visited sites and interviewed federal and state officials.
