The article reports that the National Society for Healthcare Foodservice Management and the American Society of Healthcare Food Service Administrators (ASHFSA) would merge into the Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF). During its last annual conference, ASHFSA honored Bill Notte, along with Keith Howard, with the Jacques Bloch Award for his role in the merger. Howard would be the executive director of AHF.
