The article focuses on the impact of recession on the physical and mental health stress of patients. Being cited is unemployment as a cause of the increase in demand for medical services in some areas particularly, mental health. These findings are said to have prompted the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) to issue a press release in which a call is made for employers to broaden the access of funding for mental health programs.
