ABSTRACT
The article deals with the data on recession released by the Center for Business and Economic Research at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. According to economist Keith Schwer, the data showed signs of finding a bottom to the recession. The Southern Nevada Index of Leading Economic Indicators increased 0.6% to 126.96. Schwer said the sharp decline of the past year has hit a pause. Visitor volume contributed to the strength of the index. Meanwhile, gross gaming revenue dropped 6.6 percent.
