ABSTRACT
The article reports on the assertion of Airmiles and Nectar loyalty schemes' founder Sir Keith Mills for legal action against Coutts & Co. for giving him the advise in December 2007 to invest in AIG Life premier bonds. According to Mills, Coutts recommends the bonds as an easy- access investment but in September 2009 the enhaced fund was closed by AIG Life. A "letter of claim," provided by Barlow Lyde and Gilbert in behalf of Mills, was served to Coutts before issuing negligence proceedings.
