ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Investment Management Association (IMA) in Great Britain has won from its appeal wherein ISA managers were given the choice in offering the £3,000 increase in allowance for the over-50s. According to IMA director of authorized funds and taxation Julie Patterson, after IMA and Tax Incentivised Savings Association reviewed the issue, changes will no longer be mandatory in 2009. It is the managers' choice whether to offer the increased subscription or not.
