ABSTRACT
The article reports that board members of ABTA Ltd., are expecting an increase in late bookings for its 2009 Travel Convention. ABTA is hoping to make profit in 2009, after its conventions for the last two year made losses. ABTA board member Noel Josephides states that several travel agents were waiting to see their performance in the summers of 2009 before paying for the event and reflects that the ongoing recession has also forced agents to control costs.
