ABSTRACT
Investigates the expression of 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and 5-LOX activating protein (FLAP) in fetal membranes to determine whether there are changes with gestational age or at term with the onset of labor. Expression of 5-LOX and FLAP messenger RNA in the amnion at different gestational stages; Expression of both 5-LOX and FLAP transcripts in the chorion-decidua.
