ABSTRACT
The article presents information on child poverty in Great Britain. It is stated that child poverty rose in the previous two years, and the government will miss its target to halve child poverty by 2010. Children's charities and the Treasury select committee have severely criticised the Labour government for its failure to invest in improving child poverty due to recession.
