ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the creation of carbon offset credits to help reduce the greenhouse gases (GHG). Carbon credits are a key component of national and international attempts to mitigate the rise in concentrations of GHG. They provide a new incentive for coal mines to view coal mine methane as an asset.
