ABSTRACT
The article discusses the literary criticisms published in "Kola," Canada's only Black literary magazine. It indicates that during the first 10 years of the magazine's publication, the authors and editors writing a critique on articles or books are related to African literature. While the second decade of the magazine's publication, the literary criticisms were mostly produced by Montreal-residents in Quebec who were known for their fine critical writing.
