ABSTRACT
Instability in the formation of KNbO3 with perovskite structure is complicated by its structural instability. The structural instability accounts for the existence of phases different in their symmetry and cell parameters (rhombic, tetragonal, and cubic) at room temperature.

The substitution of copper for manganese in one position of the double distorted perovskite Ca(CuxMn3 – x)Mn4O12 leads to a change in the valence of manganese atoms in the other position. This is accompanied by a sharp increase in the temperature of magnetic ordering and by a change in...

Sr2CoMoO6 and Sr2NiMoO6 ceramics are prepared by solid-state reactions in air. As shown by x-ray diffraction, both compounds have a tetragonal perovskite-like structure with doubled unit-cell parameters as compared to the perovskite cell: a = 7.850 Ã…, c = 7.932 Ã… in Sr2CoMoO6 and a =...

SrTiO3-BiMnO3 solid solutions with a cubic perovskite structure are synthesized in the range 30- 70 mol % BiMnO3. The solid solutions containing 60 and 70 mol % BiMnO3 exhibit high dielectric losses in the microwave range and are, therefore, potential microwave absorbing materials. The real part...

The effect of various gases (O2, hydrocarbons, CO, H2, NO x, SO2, and H2O vapor) presenting in the diesel exhaust on soot combustion using LaCoO3 as a catalytic material was investigated in this paper. A significant promotion of the combustion rate was found following a trend of 10% H2O addition...
