ABSTRACT
The article offers a summary of Thailand's risks in politics, economics, and business environment in 2009. The insurgency in Muslim-dominated Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat provinces has not eased up. The nation's tourism industry has been greatly affected by the decline in the global economy, political instability, and swine flu virus outbreak. The auction of the 3G mobile licences will take place in January 2010.
