ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the plan of the Iraqi government to expel Iranian Mujahedin-e Khalq (MeK) rebels who are believed to be supported by Saddam Hussein in 2009 from Iraq. These rebels, accordingly, are living in Iraq solely to overthrow the current government of Iran. The U.S. and Europe, however, intend to use these rebels to gather intelligence on the Islamic Republic and hold onto in their negotiations with Iran.
