ABSTRACT
Proposes a two-color laser polarimeter on large tokamaks for electron density measurement based on the midplane Faraday rotation. Elimination of the Faraday rotation at vacuum windows from measured polarization angles; Photoelastic modulators used for stable polarization measurement.
