ABSTRACT
The author comments on the benefits of the strategy of investment in people for the travel industry in the current recession, and offers information on a competition of the periodical, "Travel Weekly." The strategy can be beneficial in several ways including, by its use the travel industry can attract talented staff from other industries hit harder by the recession. It is reported that, the travel agency which will win the competition will get £5,000 worth of practical advice.
