ABSTRACT
The article discusses the importance of prosthetic devices in various disabled veterans for them to have independence and enhance quality of life in the U.S. It cites the effort of the Department of Veterans Affairs in providing the Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service (PSAS), a medical and rehabilitative care supported by prosthetic services for veterans with disabilities. PSAS enables disabled veterans to live in their daily activities from artificial limbs to simple eating devices, INSET: Advanced Prosthetic Arm.
