ABSTRACT
The section offers news briefs on miletones of the truck and trailer industry in June of the last five decades, starting with 1959. Westland Trailer Co. of Portland, Oregon manufactured welded-aluminum automobile transport trailers. Fruehauf formed a new division, Integrated Systems and Products in 1969. In 1979, Southwest Body Truck Co. in St. Louis, Missouri spent 75 percent of its time for government contracts to eliminate downtime in its operations.
