The article offers the author's views on the utilization of online social networks by healthcare companies in 2009 in the U.S. She states that healthcare companies, which participate in online conversations about their area of excellence and the services they offered, should take note of four-step method, including sell management, listen and plan and participate. She believes that one should strategically and cautiously access social media in order for an organization to attain its rewards. She states that one should have the ear to listen to the opinions of their customers. She cites that an organization participating in an online forum should consider the importance of positive interaction. INSET: Real People Enter the Social Media Space.
