ABSTRACT
Presents a design for low-loss microwave cavity using layered-dielectric materials. Replacement of metallic flat end walls by an ordered sequence of high purity sapphire and air dielectric layers; Measurements of the device loss at 30 degree Celsius; Reproduction of two independent theoretical simulation.
