The article focuses on the contribution of Murdo Mackay, head of human resources (HR) at Cairn Energy, to the success of the Scottish company's employee engagement programme, Project Re-buzz. The programme was established in 2008 to help ensure that employees remain engaged during and after a period of transition undergone by the company, in addition to changes to its leadership development. A comprehensive online employee engagement survey was conducted as part of the programme.
