Unions make job cuts as membership squeezed

The article reports on the announcement by the private-sector union Unite that it will make 20 per cent budget cuts, which will result to staff redundancies. According to a Unite spokeswoman, the cuts will affect all departments, however the loss of jobs will be less radical than 20 percent. She also cleared that all job losses would be covered by voluntary redundancies.
