ABSTRACT
The article presents forecast on the tourism industry in Brazil. It states that a decline in arrivals of international tourists will be replaced by increase in internal tourism. According the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), there would be a nominal growth in direct and indirect measures of the industry for 2009. Moreover, Business Monitor International Ltd. predicts a decline in output levels in the industry in the upcoming quarters of 2009.
