ABSTRACT
Measures the thermal rate constants of the reaction of carbon and hydrogen at pressures between 1 and 160 bar and temperatures between 185 and 800 Kelvin. Generation of CH radicals using multiphoton laser flash photolysis; Production of high pressure radicals; S-shape transition curves conducted to describe the pressure dependence of the rate contant.

Mixture equations of state are developed to model the freezing of water to ice VII, and the transformation of solid explosive reactants to gaseous reaction products. In each case there is a single reaction variable, w, the mass fraction of the initial phase, that proceeds from unity (initial...

The electrical properties of CdTe:Pb single crystals at high temperatures (400–900°C) and under controlled Cd vapor pressure (0.001–3 atm) were investigated for the first time. The temperature and baric dependences of the conductivity and Hall coefficient were measured. Low (in...

The papers on the combustion mechanism of HMX published in Russian journals in 2008-2010 are analyzed. The causes of different interpretations of experimental and theoretical results are discussed. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that the most reasonable mechanism for HMX combustion is...

The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of catalyst particle diameter and of pressure on CO oxidation reactions. The numerical investigation was done for three different pressures (1 bar, 0.7 bar, 0.4 bar) and three catalyst particle diameters (0.1mm, 0,15mm, 0,2mm) at low temperature...

The electrical conductivity of a C60 fullerene crystal is measured under the conditions of quasi-isentropic loading by a diffuse shock wave to a pressure of 30 GPa at room temperature. Nonmonotonic behavior of the conductivity of the samples with an increase in pressure is observed: first,...

The reforming of methane is carried out together with the water gas shift reaction (CO + H2O → CO2 + H2) over Ru/Al2O3 at the atmospheric pressure and at 600 °C. At this temperature, the steam reforming (CH4/H2O) leads to a substantial CH4 conversion of 80 % compared to ∼55 % the...
