ABSTRACT
Investigates the effects of zirconium dioxide on the properties of Y[sub 1]Ba[sub 2]Cu[sub 3]O[sub 7-delta] (YBCO) during peritectic solidification. Use of the single-step melt process; Elimination of the Josephson weak-link behavior in melt-processed YBCO; Characterization of the structure and phases of the sample using optical and scanning electron microscopy.
