A novel two-dimensional NMR experiment, state-correlated two-dimensional NMR (SC-2D NMR) spectroscopy, was successfully performed between the nematic phase and the isotropic phase of 4′-methoxybenzylidene-4-acetoxyaniline (APAPA) by using pulsed microwave heating. In this experiment, local...

A group spin approach is used to describe the interconversion of magnetization modes in systems of three equivalent spins 1/2. It is shown that the most prominent effect of cross correlation of the fluctuations of chemical shift anisotropy and dipolar interactions is the transformation of...

The DEP domain of Dishevelled (Dvl) proteins transduces signals to effector proteins downstream of Dvl in the Wnt pathway. Here we report that DEP-containing mutants inhibit Wnt-induced, but not Dvl-induced, activation of the transcription factor Lef-1. This inhibitory effect is weakened by a...

The time evolution of multispin correlations (the growth of the number of correlated spins as a function of time) can be observed directly using the multiple-quantum nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy of solids. A quantity related to this number, namely, the second moment < n 2( t)> of the...
