This article reports on the Maturity Level 3 certification received by IP Infusion of Sunnyvale, California from Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model® Integration for Development (CMMI). An appraisal was conducted by Beth Layman, a partner at Layman and Layman, on the engineering, support and professional services organizations at IP Infusion. Particular focus is given to the benefits of CMMI as a process improvement approach.
