Reports on the plan of Loews Cineplex Entertainment Corp. to close down some of its Canadian movie theaters as part of a restructuring move resulting from the bankruptcy reorganization proceedings initiated in February 2001. Disclosure of the shut down plans after the announcement that the theater chain will be bought by Onex Corp., Oaktree Corp. and Pacific Capital Group.
