ABSTRACT
Demonstrates the a-axis oriented growth of YBa[sub 2]Cu[sub 3]O[sub 7-y] (YBCO) thin films on LaSrGaO[sub 4](100) substrates using pulsed laser deposition technique. Temperature range required for the a-axis orientation; Factors attributed to the control of YBCO thin film orientation; Enumeration of the film zero resistance transition temperature.
