ABSTRACT
The article reports on the growth in sales generated by variable annuities in Great Britain in the first quarter of 2009. It reveals that variable annuities rose by seven per cent to £340 million in the said period, compared to the fourth quarter in 2008. It states that the rise on the launch of insurance products and increasing demand from consumers have contributed in boosting the variable annuities industry.
