ABSTRACT
The article reports that geek-friendly performers who use comic book and science fiction to build their audience are turning successful as the attendees are always looking for good, geek-centric entertainment. Ben Sterling, a performer and co-producer with troupe Start Trekkin' says that conventions seem to be a place where one can really reach one's target audience as they come with an attitude about wanting to be present with live individuals.
