Examines the electrical resistance of vertical-cavity surface-emitting diode laser. Effects of contact configuration on the resistance of gallium arsenide; Comparison of minimum resistance between annular-contact and broad-area contact geometry; Unsuitability of the circular-contact configuration of small-size emitters.
