ABSTRACT
Examines the phase retardation as a function of incidence angle of 97-eV soft x-rays from a laser plasma source. Use of multilayer polarizer and polarization analyzer; Measurement of the phase retardation through a free-standing molybdenum/silicon multilayer; Importance of the maximum retardation between the sigma and pi components for an ideal structure calculation.
