Presents grating-coupled indium gallium arsenide/aluminum gallium arsenide surface-emitting lasers. Integration of a second order surface grating with corner reflectors; Use of electron beam lithography and assistive-chemical ion beam etching; Incorporation of the thin etch-stop layer with epitaxial structure; Measurement of threshold current densities.
