ABSTRACT
Studies the preferential formation of C[sup -][sub 10] upon tandem irradiation of graphite with infrared and ultraviolet laser pulses. Mechanism of the formation of C[sup -][sub 10] deduced to be the attachment of slow photoelectrons to neutral C[sup -][sub 10].
