Describes a method to sense the collection of single-polarity charge carriers in ionization detectors. Significance of coplanar electrodes to emulate functions of Frisch grids; Manifestation of the method in relation to obtain good energy resolution; Demonstration of the method effectiveness by using cadmium zinc telluride detector.
